Alex started his career in 2001 as a direct care staff in a level 4i group home working with young adults coming out of Kern County Juvenile Hall. One year later he took on a new opportunity at an Adult Residential Facility (ARF), which is a 4-bed home, for adults with behavioral and self-care issues coming out of the Porterville Developmental Center, which was opened in August 2002.
After six months, he was appointed to be a house manager at Bakersfield’s first crisis home for children. In 2004, Mr. Arcila became ARF certified by the State of California and was promoted to Administrator for a 3-bed ARF facility. In 2005, Mr. Arcila passed the Group Home Administrator exam of the State of California and became a group home administrator for a level 4i 4-bed facility. In addition, he managed a day program facility for 6 months during this period. In 2009, he moved to Orange County, and was promoted as the Administrator Director in Orange County. He worked in this field for 8 years, managing the OC crisis home in Costa Mesa.
In 2016, Alex founded OC Broad Services and was vendorized by the Regional Center of Orange County to provide respite services in 2020. In his career Alex worked successfully with some of the most behaviorally challenging children and adults in the state of California. He continues to work closely with families to ensure their needs are met in any way, shape, or form.
